The expansion port allows for options not supported by the factory harness such as sequential spark outputs, cam & crank triggers, nitrous control, stepper motor control, can bus & serial communication, etc. Complete list of functions is provided in the PiMPxs Startup Guide Table 2. 
-All wires have their function printed on the wire, and are color coded for ease of use. 
-Available as a complete 32 wire pigtail harness, a complete uncrimped/unassembled do-it-yourself kit, or each component individually (see other product listing for individual components). 
-Fully assembled kit is the connector with 32 wires crimped and installed in the connector and 5/8" wiring loom holding it all together. 
-Unassembled kit is 32 labeled wires, 32 pins, and the 32 pin connector. You crimp and assemble whatever you want to use for your application.
