Walbro In-Tank Fuel Pump, 255 LPH High Pressure, for 1986-1995 5.0L, 83-93 2.3L/2.3 Turbo, and 1996-1997 4.6L Mustang, as well as all years of Merkur XR4ti*.
Most stock pumps deliver only 88 LPH (liters per hour), not nearly enough once you begin modifying the engine. This pump will work fine on a stock car, but provides the option of increasing fuel pressure. Supports up to 775 horsepower.
This is the high pressure version which is ideal for boosted applications that run higher fuel pressure than naturally aspirated applications. It does also work perfectly well for n/a builds as well.
Available with Mustang specific install kit which includes short-piece of hose, 2 clamps, wiring pigtail, filter & instructions. Also available with just the pump. Installs in the original fuel pump bracket without modifications.
High flow fuel pumps typically overrun the stock fuel pressure regulator, requiring an aftermarket regulator with larger bypass port to prevent fuel pressure from creeping up at idle. We've added this option to the listing along with a fuel pressure gauge and the fittings to allow mounting it to the Schrader valve on the stock fuel rail or fuel line (Schrader valve location varies by application).
*If using in a Merkur XR4ti, this in-tank pump and kit would replace the factory in-tank pump and you'd need to remove the stock external pump and replace it with a fuel filter. You'll also either need to run the external pump's wiring to the in-tank pump, or remove the resistor from the stock in-tank pump's wiring to allow full voltage to the pump.
